How did you discover Splinterlands?
I actually don't remember how I discovered Splinterlands. It may be from Google search about NFTs when I searched about Axie Infinity or by accidentally watching a random streamer in Twitch. I lurk on Twitch a lot on an alt account as I do chores and assignments.
I think those two are the highest probable cause but I'm not sure because it's been a year since that happened. All I remember was it was around Valentines last year that I joined. Everything else than that is a blur.

What was your first card or most memorable early battle?
The most memorable card for me will always be this card.
If you're a new reader, then I'd love to let you know that I absolutely love Harry Potter. From Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I've read and watched it all. Did you know that the core from Harry's wand came from Dumbledore's phoenix which was also in Voldemort's wand? Yes, two wands off the same fiery bird.
Going back, the reason I liked Alric Stormbringer, the Splinterlands card above, is because he reminds me a lot like Dumbledore. His ability is also very simple just like Obsidian but for Water element instead of Earth. Unfortunately, since he is a Beta card, you can't use him in Modern Ranked Format. You can still use him though in both Wild Ranked Format or the new Survival Mode.
How has your strategy evolved since you started?
It hasn't evolved one bit, lol. Ever since I started playing this game, I focused on using units with magic attack because magic beats everything. I got to Diamond by sticking to this ideal. While I may try out non-magic units here and there, my core build is always consists of magic units.
Obsidian is very strong and very easy to use in this regard. The core magic units in Earth has can both deal a lot of damage while having abilities that protect them or their team.
I don't call this as evolution but I'm currently pooling for Epic rewards in the hope that I max out my Arachne Weaver. I think he can be a very strong unit to carry my team in preparation of Chaos Legion leaving the battlefield.
What are your goals in the game now?
My goals in the game doesn't change as well. I really want to get to Champion level. I don't want to reach Champion III but Champion I. Once I get to that level, I'll have more confidence and will be more impressed by myself because that means my wins isn't swayed by luck but by my own skills.
