I wrote in a previous post about how tedious my growth processes were and how I was able to overcome them. Now, I've been allowed to write about the persons that helped me achieve my growth.
First, I'd like to thank God for giving me the mindset of growth in the first place and taking me through the steps. If the mind was not fixed initially, I do not think anyone's help would have succeeded.
The first person was my father. The love my father has for me is something I will never be able to comprehend. It is unconditional and pure. From fathering me, to being my mother and father when I lost my mum at age 5, to making sure I do not lack an actual mother's love by remarrying one of the best women on earth, to being my teacher after school.
My father is my rock, the foundation of my growth. Everything I know from the beginning was taught by him. I have only enhanced his teachings, but they remain the truth. My father is my superhero.
My mother also contributed to my growth. Irrespective of not being my biological mother, she took care of me like her child. Of course, at the initial stage, we clashed, but we were able to brace through it. I do not call her aunt or stepmother. I call her mum because I got another chance to have a mother through her. She taught me how to cook, and how to plan and spend wisely, and she schooled me through home management. She is indeed a pioneer in my growth.
My family, these are people apart from my mother and father. People like my uncles and aunties, my siblings and cousins. These people always kept me in check. Family is indeed everything and they proved it to me. We shared my pain and joy, my laughter and sorrow, my success and failure. We shared my growth process.
My best friend @blezyn and some other friends of mine were at every stage of my growth. They helped me up when I was weak, they became my source of strength, they brought smiles and joy into my life, they gave me hope to live, and they showed me the actual meaning of friendship. Without their support and love, I wouldn't have been able to grow this much.
Then there is my boyfriend. If blessing was in a man's form, that would be him. He's been with me for a year and some months but he's been a daily source of motivation. He pushes me to achieve and attain more, he supports me, he corrects me with love, he keeps me in check and makes me accountable for every action I take. His belief in me is something that amazes me and I'm indeed glad to have him.
Most importantly, I helped myself grow. My strong will to succeed, my determination, my sense of responsibility, my self-love, my self-motivation, and my feature of always wanting to learn. These made me not think of anything else than growth and indeed I have grown. I am not where I want to be, but I have come a long way from where I started.
