Wintermas Photo 52 Challenge week 50

Our first snowstorm of the season hit with a windy blast and made the streets messy and slushy, but it coated all the tree branches and twigs and looks lovely. For now, at least!

Warmer temperatures are predicted and it will not last long, but it has been pretty for a few days!

I strongly suspect that we will see much more snow in the coming months!

What’s that bird doing hanging out in the winter. Aren’t they supposed to go south?!

Many of the birds that eat insects and fruit leave to go to warmer places, but often the various seed eaters spend the winter here. For some of the birds that spend the summer in the far north, this IS south and they migrate here.

Your photos are incredible, you do it very well. Let's take advantage of these snowy days.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed them!

Snowstorms are for me... romantic!
Fabulous photos!!!

I love it this week, but then I ready for it to all go away!

Will you take photos after the snowstorm... please 🥰🌺🤙
!ENGAGE

I do the best I can with snowy photos, but my mobility scooter does not do well on snowy icy surfaces, so I'm often stuck taking photos from indoors looking out.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I got rain storms with temperatures in the day are at a balmy 6C to 9C going into my Vacation time. As long as the puddles are no deeper than my 6inch Demonia Platform boots my feet will be dry as the rest of me get drenched. ⛈ No luau yet.

Far too cold here for rain! The snow that we have on the ground means a white Christmas because it is far too cold to melt!

You know, I very often have a redbird that looks just like that which nests in my front yard tree every year. I think it's gorgeous! My cats want to get close to it to play.

Tell you cats to just say no to birds! They need to eat cat food!

Haha, very true. My cats are very picky eaters, too. Now the dog.. not so much. If she can fit it into her mouth, it's food to her.

😂Dogs are not nearly as discerning as cats are!

They just keep adding up!

Ah ah this is magic isn't it ? 😅😊
BTW, it would be very appreciated if you could support our proposal so we can keep up the good work!

I am freezing to the snow, it looks beautiful from distance only 😁🙏

I like it best when viewed through the window!

ha haa that's great to hear.😁🙏

Great post as usual Melinda!
I couldn't log into Hive for the longest time, pw didn't work...but now it does...lol

No way! Well whatever it was I am certainly glad to see you again! If you have any questions about posting into the Feathered Friends Community, please ask! I will be looking forward to seeing posts from you again.

It was frustrating to say the least, thanks, trying to load a pic for my profile and relearning how to post etc...lol

If you use Ecency.com I can help if you have questions, but I'm not great with the other front ends.

Oh dear I would love some snow here

We're still waiting for that white stuff in southern MN. We had two snowstorms already this year, both dropping 6+ inches of snow, but it's all long since melted. Those male cardinals really stand out against the white snow, don't they?

I keep hoping for that perfect Cardinal Christmas card photo. Maybe someday I will be successful!

I suspect that you will have snow soon!
