Greetings #ladiesofhive Community and @elizabethbit for the interesting questions you ask for this week.

What is the first time you decorated for the holidays? Tell us the traditional start time in your culture and the first time you decorated and why you chose to start early.

Talking about the holidays is very meaningful no matter what country you are in. The holiday that surrounds most of us are the dates that accompany us from the end of October until the beginning of the new year.

Halloween has its followers, I do not appear in this list. After it, Christmas involves the majority of people where each one from their economic commitments and realities according to the country they live in do their best to exalt this festivity as remembering the arrival of the Child Jesus along with everything that inspires us according to the religions they profess.

In my country Venezuela, the decorations in the stores are already beginning to be seen since the beginning of October as the main reason for the active trade and to gain buyers. Among the meals, the traditional dish is the hallaca, although in many homes and with the changes that have been taking place in the country, the hallaca, whether it is on the table or not, does not bring uneasiness.

This moment of the dinner to share with family and friends is already observed different types of food, rice with chicken, pizzas, among others ... families that their budget does not reach to make the hallaca for all the ingredients it carries say and argue that the important thing is to share and be grateful for the food they have at the time.

As for the decoration at home, it varies from house to house. Some do it from the beginning of November, others do it during the month of December, for reasons of time or other things that have arisen.

In my parents' house the tradition of decorating was from the 15th of November, then my mother waited for us to arrive after the first of December to decorate the house, sometimes it took us the 24th of December in this process of decorating and waiting for Christmas.

Since I have my house, the decoration starts from November 15, I like to do a good cleaning before starting to take out the boxes of decorations, to create new ways of how to place the decorations, what to remove and what to leave (this is just starting because there is only my husband and I); of course the manger or nativity as we say in different places means a lot to me and are the decorations that I do not eliminate.

I like Christmas, I have always maintained that it is such a beautiful time that we feel a change of energy even in the air we breathe that we really have to enjoy it, having a Christmas ornament at home reminds us of the joy and meaning that this date has, enhancing the faith of that child that we expect every December 24 at 12 midnight and give us a hug of Merry Christmas.

Starting in November does give the family time to build the anticipation. I actually do my gift shopping all year to avoid the seasonal shopping pressure and easier to afford by spreading the cost over the year.
❤️

Ummm, good strategy
Greetings

I agree with you, Christmas time is a time to really enjoy it, as you say, we feel a change of energy even in the air we breathe, I love it, thanks for sharing,

@mercmarg, You have received 1.0000 LOH for posting in Ladies of Hive. We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hodl LOH tokens over a long period of time.

The retailers do keep putting out decorations and whatnot earlier and earlier because of their profit.

I think starting when the mood strikes, for decorating is perfect accordingly. There's nothing wrong with early or late, but late to me would be sad because you wouldn't have all that long to enjoy it.

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely Christmas!

Yes, that's the idea of starting early to enjoy the lights, the decorations and the nativity scene.

Thanks

You are most welcome! Take care!
