1️⃣ We women are known for carrying out several activities at the same time. Somehow we always balance our schedules to accomplish them all, even though sometimes that brings us excessive fatigue. My question is: what do you do when you feel exhausted? How do you regulate your physical, mental and emotional state to be yourself again?
Women are known multitaskers who are said to be one and all when they want to. So, they may be islands since no man is an island but a woman can be, right? But yes, i saw a picture one time depicting how strong a woman's grip is....holding several things at the same time, she still managed to hold them tight. Being able to do all this, makes us somewhat superheroes even if someone tries to downplay it. But being able to multitask so well comes with as much stress and fatigue. So, what do you do? What do i do?
I read a quote that said you can't pour a drink from an empty cup. Being the cup, you have to be full with drink first to be able to share or pour to another and even when you don't want to pour to another....just to be yourself, the teacup.
it's important for anyone especially women, to prioritize our self-care and also to recharge every now and then. Self-care can come in different forms and is needed in these different forms for balance. Personally, i don't have one routine to cope with exhaustion. I have several like sleeping, karaoke sessions ie singing, eating, exercising etc
So, physically:
Sleep is very important. Our rest is something we must see as important. Work is good but rest too is.
Eating and eating good is one of them but honestly, sometimes, i just want junks.
Exercise is one underrated form of self care ajd relaxation. Makes me feel good everytime i exercise and have a good water break after it.
Mentally, we need to practice Mindfulness like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga inorder to calm the mind, reduction of stress, and increasing focus. I've tried yoga a few times and I'll definitely try again sometime soon. Now, Hobbies is something you wanna engage in. Do something you enjoy....if it's reading, singing, painting, or listening to music, it helps to rejuvenate your mind and boost mood. I like listening to music and singing along and also writing.
Emotional Self-Care, i think it's very very important. Probably top of the list, then mental and then, the physical. Why? If your inner feels good, it'll definitely reflect on the outside. But yeah, what is your list like? Which one comes first?
Seeking Support and reaching out to friends, family members, or a therapist for emotional support and guidance is usually hard but relieving. Talking about your feelings gives perspective and validation.
As much as talking to people can help, also Being kind to yourself and practicing self-compassion can help relieve you. Acknowledging your efforts and achievements, no matter how they seem small, and treating yourself the same way you would treat others with kindness and understanding.
Being in a good state of mind and health will help you continue helping others and in your daily multitasking. Women (as well as everyone) need to take care of themselves in order to excel in their duties and responsibilities.
