Buenos días abejitas!! Estoy tan felíz de volver a publicar en esta red y de contarles todo lo que he venido aprendiendo sobre Blockchain en estos últimos meses. Hoy me voy a centrar en contar mi historia de este nuevo comienzo en web3.
Sinceramente he estado pensando mucho en todo lo que me pasó y en cómo transmitirles desde lo más profundo de mi ser las razones por las cuales he llegado hasta donde estoy, porque no sólo quiero que sepan mi historia, sino que también, quizás a alguno de ustedes les pasó algo similar y me gustaría saber si alguien se identifica conmigo, así compartimos el sentimiento.
Good morning bees! I am so happy to be back to post on this network and to tell you everything I have been learning about Blockchain in these last months. Today I am going to focus on telling my story of this new beginning in web3.
Honestly I have been thinking a lot about everything that happened to me and how to transmit you from the deepest part of my being the reasons why I have reached where I am, because not only I want you to know my story, but also, maybe some of you had something similar happen to you and I would like to know if someone identifies with me, so we can share the feeling.

Después de tanto tiempo deliberando si me creaba una cuenta en Twitter lo hice, y comencé a seguir personas referentes al ecosistema, proyectos, comunidades y más. En todo eso encontré a CashCow Protocol, un protocolo en la BSC Binance Smart Chain que tiene Farm, Staking y NFTs y está próximo a salir su “juego”, lo digo entre comillas ya que muchos usuarios dicen que sólo es un click to earn y no un juego. En fin, ahí estuve como embajadora durante 9 meses.
Comencé creando contenido para redes, tanto escrito como gráfico, en ese momento Canva me ayudó mucho porque no soy diseñadora, pero me gusta el diseño y por lo tanto me animé a desarrollar algunas habilidades que me sirvieron para comenzar en el equipo.
Luego me ascendieron al Core Team por mi desempeño, lo cual me puso muy felíz y estuve un tiempo en las reuniones que se coordinaban semanalmente para ajustar tuercas. Quizás mi sinceridad no le agradó a una parte del Core ya que pedían opinión y yo se las daba, siempre con humildad, pero teniendo en cuenta ciertas cuestiones referidas a los usuarios que resonaban en mi interior y sentía que debía hacerlo, no puedo ser hipócrita, por lo que me bajaron del cargo y me enviaron a Recursos Humanos.
After so long deliberating whether to create a Twitter account I did, and started following people related to the ecosystem, projects, communities and more. In all that I found CashCow Protocol, a protocol in the BSC Binance Smart Chain that has Farm, Staking and NFTs and is about to release its "game", I say that in quotes because many users say it is only a click to earn and not a game. Anyway, I was there as an ambassador for 9 months.
I started creating content for networks, both written and graphic, at that time Canva helped me a lot because I am not a designer, but I like design and therefore I was encouraged to develop some skills that helped me to start in the team.
Then I was promoted to the Core Team for my performance, which made me very happy and I spent some time in the meetings that were coordinated weekly to adjust nuts and bolts. Perhaps my sincerity did not please part of the Core Team because they asked for my opinion and I gave it, always with humility, but taking into account certain issues related to the users that resonated within me and I felt I had to do it, I can not be hypocritical, so they removed me from the position and sent me to Human Resources.

En el nuevo puesto tuve la oportunidad de trabajar a la par de una Psicóloga y de un Licenciado en RRHH, lo que me gustó mucho y pude aprender de ellos. Las actividades eran relacionadas a la organización del Team y de los Embajadores que comenzaban en el proyecto, por lo que tuvimos que armar en conjunto el Manual de procedimientos y el Onbarding. Eso llevó un par de semanas de arduo trabajo y de mucho detalle para que nada quede fuera y los nuevos puedan comprender el organigrama, las actividades y quién era cada quién dentro del equipo.
En medio de todo esto, surgieron un par de eventos a los que asistimos con algunos de mis compañeros, ellos al igual que yo, teníamos la responsabilidad de hacer conocer el proyecto y hacer Networking con la idea de asociarnos de forma colaborativa para su expansión.
Uno de los eventos a los que fuimos fue el de T2Latam donde KManu era quien lideraba el mismo junto con otros líderes de su equipo. Si querés ver un post sobre esto acá te lo dejo. Días más tarde, se realizaba otro evento en Córdoba Capital, el cual organicé en menos de 2 días (cuando nos dieron el Ok) asique tuve que buscar transporte, alojamiento y armar el presupuesto a las corridas. Por suerte salió todo de maravillas. También te dejo un post que hice de ese viaje acá.
In the new position I had the opportunity to work alongside a psychologist and an HR graduate, which I really liked and I could learn from them. The activities were related to the organization of the Team and the Ambassadors who were starting in the project, so we had to put together the Procedures Manual and the Onbarding. That took a couple of weeks of hard work and a lot of detail so that nothing was left out and the newcomers could understand the organization chart, the activities and who was who within the team.
In the midst of all this, there were a couple of events that we attended with some of my colleagues, they, like me, had the responsibility to make the project known and do networking with the idea of partnering collaboratively for its expansion.
One of the events we went to was the T2Latam event where KManu was leading the event along with other leaders of his team. If you want to see a post about it, here it is. Days later, there was another event in Córdoba Capital, which I organized in less than 2 days (when we got the Ok) so I had to look for transportation, accommodation and put together the budget in a hurry. Luckily everything worked out great. I also leave you a post I made about that trip here.

Todo venía de maravillas hasta que uno de mis compañeros comenzó a delegarme tareas extra, eso llevó a sobrecargarme de trabajo y a dejar de lado de otras cosas que necesitaba para mi vida como salir a pasear mi perro, ver a mi familia y amigos, cocinar a tiempo, limpiar mi casa, lavar mi ropa, etc. Puse mi reclamo a la encargada de RRHH, pero su respuesta fue que no había nadie más que supiera hacer ese trabajo.
A todo esto, mi sueldo en vez de aumentar, iba disminuyendo porque la moneda en la que cobramos $COW estaba cada vez más baja por el Bear Market (Mercado bajista). Y ahora la reestructuración de los pagos iba a ser por Bounties, es decir, por tareas. Lo cual me pareció una genial idea, porque yo hacía mucho más que otros que cobraban lo mismo que yo. Asique lo que hice fue comenzar a guardar todo lo que hice durante el mes.
Según mis cálculos debería haber ganado unos $300 dólares ese mes. Pero adivinen cuánto me pagaron? Sólo $50… realmente sentí una gran decepción porque me merecía mucho más, y porque eso no me alcanzaba para cubrir todos mis gastos.
Después de unas horas de meditarlo, decidí salir del proyecto porque lo que me pasó a mí, también le pasó a otras 4 personas del Team y era muy injusto. Pero entonces, ¿ahora qué hago? ¿Cómo solvento mis gastos? Bien, sólo tenía 2 maneras, trabajar en relación de dependencia y volver a la vida tradicional (porque créanme que le agarré el gusto al trabajo remoto) o buscar trabajos freelance. Y esta última opción fue una muy buena opción. Comencé a buscar plataformas como Upwork, Workana, Fiverr y otras en las que comencé a postularme luego de cargar mi CV y empecé a realizar algunos trabajos por $10, $20 y hasta de $50.
Everything was going great until one of my coworkers started delegating extra tasks to me, that led to overloading me with work and leaving aside other things I needed for my life like going out to walk my dog, seeing my family and friends, cooking on time, cleaning my house, washing my clothes, etc. I put my complaint to the HR manager, but her response was that there was no one else who knew how to do that job.
In the meantime, my salary instead of increasing, was decreasing because the currency in which we were paid $COW was getting lower and lower due to the Bear Market. And now the restructuring of the payments was going to be by Bounties, that is to say, by tasks. Which I thought was a great idea, because I was making a lot more than others who were getting paid the same as me. So what I did was to start saving everything I made during the month.
By my calculations I should have made about $300 that month. But guess how much I got paid? Only $50... I was really disappointed because I deserved so much more, and because it was not enough to cover all my expenses.
After a few hours of thinking about it, I decided to leave the project because what happened to me, also happened to 4 other people in the Team and it was very unfair. But then, what do I do now, how do I cover my expenses? Well, I had only 2 ways, work as an employee and go back to the traditional life (because believe me I got a taste for remote work) or look for freelance jobs. And this last option was a very good choice. I started to look for platforms like Upwork, Workana, Fiverr and others where I started to apply after uploading my CV and I started to do some jobs for $10, $20 and even $50.

Conversando con unas amigas de Venezuela que hice en el viaje a Córdoba (Simo y Mich), ellas me cuentan que tienen una plataforma de cursos AcademiaQA donde enseñan la profesión de Tester de software o también llamado QA y que estaban por lanzar su próximo Bootcamp. Me puse a investigar sobre eso, ya que nunca había pensado en estudiar algo relacionado al desarrollo tecnológico y la verdad es que me encantó, y hasta comencé a realizar los cursos gratuitos que tienen abierto a todo público.
Cuando vieron mis diplomas, no dudaron en regalarme la beca para el Bootcamp de Octubre de 2022, ¡no se imaginan la felicidad que tenía al revivir semejante regalo! Y no sólo eso, sino que también le regalaron una beca a mi hermana que también le gustaba el tema de teatear webs, apps y juegos. Obviamente no dudé en invitarlas a que vengan a visitarme a mi ciudad en forma de agradecimiento por el gesto que tuvieron nosotras y un par de semanas más tarde, pasaron a saludarme ya que iban camino a Uruguay, así que les hice un tour por la ciudad, comimos, salimos y nos divertimos mucho. Y así comencé el camino como QA Manual o Funcional.
Mi historia no termina acá, no dejé la Blockchain, sino que seguí pero a otro ritmo, un poco más lento, pero con pasos firmes. Pero a eso te lo cuento en mi próximo post.
Espero tengan todos un excelente día y que mi historia los inspire a seguir adelante y a no detenerse cuando las cosas no suceden como a uno le gustaría, sino que busquen las posibilidades de desarrollarse y seguir avanzando más allá de las adversidades. Les envío un fuerte abrazo!
Talking with some friends from Venezuela that I made on the trip to Cordoba (Simo and Mich), they told me that they have a course platform AcademiaQA where they teach the profession of Software Tester or also called QA and that they were about to launch their next Bootcamp. I started to investigate about it, since I had never thought of studying something related to technological development and the truth is that I loved it, and I even started to take the free courses they have open to the public.
When they saw my diplomas, they did not hesitate to give me the scholarship for the Bootcamp in October 2022, you can't imagine how happy I was to relive such a gift! And not only that, but they also gave a scholarship to my sister who also liked the topic of web, app and game design. Obviously I did not hesitate to invite them to come visit me in my city as a way of thanking them for the gesture they had made to us and a couple of weeks later, they came by to say hello to me since they were on their way to Uruguay, so I gave them a tour of the city, we ate, went out and had a lot of fun. And that's how I started my path as a Manual or Functional QA.
My story does not end here, I did not leave the Blockchain, but I continued but at another pace, a little slower, but with firm steps. But I will tell you about that in my next post.
