One thing where till date I have never splurged on is branded clothes. I have never believed in wearing costly branded clothes and never do I buy for myself. In my home, my son and hubby are the marks of brands, that too very selected ones. They keep forcing me also to buy big brands but my philosophy is simple, I want to buy cheap and more. Cheap does not mean, low quality, it just means getting it for worth it's price. There are many decent local stores which have very good clothes, and I prefer buying from there. Some people get surprised when they hear that I have never purchased from stores like Zara or Mango.
It's not that I cannot afford, but I do not wish to. I do not feel it's worth it. Especially we women we like to shop more clothes and then do not even like to repeat them very often so in that case reasonable ones are better. Sometimes I even buy from the street side, from the small hawkers. For me, only one thing matters, how it looks on me. Some of my very cheap clothes look better on me then the expensive branded ones. It's more about the style then the brand.
I also prefer buying maximum of my clothes during sale time, which happens twice a year. This is the time I can get real good deals and save on money. At other times, only if something attracts me a lot then I buy it, else I refrain from buying. That's how I manage my budget on shopping. Accessories I am not very fond of, so I have very limited of it. I am fond of shoes so again this also I buy during sale time where I can get good deals.
On the mindfulness, my peace of mind is very important for me. I like to spend a lot of time alone with myself, only over the weekends I catch up with my friends, else through out the week, it's just me and hubby.
For me my daily walks refreshes my mind and brings lot of peace. I like to go for my walks either to the beach or to the park. Spending just half an hour there also takes away all my stress. No matter whatever the day has been, this half and hour to one hour in nature rejuvenates my mind and brings me again to a balanced state. During my walks, I do lot of reflections if needed and that kind of brings in clarity in my thoughts and that's what helps me stay aware.

I think you and I would have fun shopping together. I don't care for the expensive brands $$$, either, and prefer my own unique style to anything the trends are showing. In my part of the world, we have what are called "thrift shops" that are usually run by a charityΒ β non-profits that assist battered women, orphanages, hospice houses, or some similar mission. The goods that are sold there are donated when people clean their closets, or are moving, and the proceeds of the sales go straight to the charity that runs the shop. I like shopping the charity-run thrift shops because:
I don't even go shopping for clothes as often as a couple times each year; it's usually once every two years, unless I need something! I'm still wearing clothes I bought 10, 20, or 30 years ago, I just rotate them when I get tired of them and bring them from the back of the closet a few years later. π

The same here, I only had a price range in buying clothes.
If higher, though I like it, I won't buy as it was expensive for my budget.
