This particular topic has a lot of taboo around it and the sad part is that even women in today's age and time still support them, thought it's very less now compared to the olden days. This is all a part of nature then how can it be bad. In our country, it is believe to not pray or go to any religious places during these days. I have always failed to understand why, though I do follow them, but it's like a conflict with my own self following these practices.

It is terrible, there are even religions that forbid it (praying with menstruation), because we are "impure". As if to their God they seem less for having a natural process that he himself gave them. Misogyny of the highest level.
I don't usually visit temples but I make sure to visit them during my menses ^_~
