Warm greetings to all the ladies of hive community, am happy to participate in this week contest 211 contest I so much love the number two because my new experience in celebrating harvest season was fun thank you for bringing up this topic.
1️⃣ Skydiving, Treasure hunting, Deep Sea exploration, Space Travel, Excavating archeological of ruins, or any adventure. I recently mentioned about my adventure in paranormal investigation as an exercise in overcoming fear of the unknown. What would you challenge yourself to do as an adventure to remember?

2️⃣ How did you and your family celebrate this year's Harvest Season? As Halloween, La Dia de Muertos, All Saints day, Samhain, or something else?
Today I will be talking about number 2 topic on how I and my family celebrated our years harvest season.
Here in my country we have a lot of ways we celebrate our harvest like some people, we take the first harvest to church they pray over it and they will now come home and celebrate with their family and friends.
As for me and my family we travel to our home town where we celebrated our new yam festival.
Doing the season of new yam festival there are lots of fun there like you will see some group of people dancing, masquerade we also come out and dance and you we see lots of women putting on their uniforms and the men's we also dress on their own uniform too.
It was fun and I had a lot of fun too .
This is my first time of experience such because my family do celebrate our own in church but my husband home town was fun and am even planning to join the women next year.
Doing the time of celebration the head of the community we come out and pray over the yam's the people brought out after praying he will cut out a small portion of yam and eat and everybody we shout and start rejoicing and also everybody we start eating or you go to your house I start eating the one you prepare for your family and friends.
I and my husband want home and we eat the one my mother in-law prepared and I was very happy.
Thank you all for reading to the end I appreciate.

Such a great festival, and have heard so much about how the igbos celebrate their new yam festival.
A Yam Festival! Yams are a part of my family diet as an alternative to Russet and local varieties of potatoes in Canada. It is a smaller variety to the Nigerian variety but I don't recall the specific species. Sweet and very tasty tuber.
