Don't you find it flattering and complimentary when asked by family / friends to prepare something you enjoy eating?! I bet there's more than one thing you're asked to make!
I became the person in the family who is asked to make the salads, especially Caesar salads.
My favorite salads when I'm not watching what I eat are seafood and pasta salads; otherwise I enjoy making a homemade salad with mixed greens (prefer arugula/spinach blend), cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, avocado, green peppers, chopped sweet Vidalia onions, walnuts, pecans or sunflower seeds, along with a fruit such as sliced strawberries, a mandarin orange, blackberries or chopped green apples. Sometimes I throw in a little flax seeds or chia seeds.
