If there's one topic I can't get tired of talking about, it is self-improvement and development.
I have had the privilege and opportunity of getting to talk to young folks, and one thing I tell them is to improve and develop themselves.
Oh, there is so much a developed and improved mind can do. There is no telling the limit or boundaries of possibilities open to a mind that has been developed over time.
Conversations become engaging, and idea sharing becomes seamless and thought-provoking at that level because everyone is thinking on the same frequency and viewing things through the same lenses. I have seen great ideas crumble, not because the idea had any issues in itself, but because the idea was conceived by an undeveloped or underdeveloped mind.
Many times, it is not as though we do not see clearly the vision that has been set before us, but the limitations come when the vision that has been seen is being processed by an unenlightened mind. It is like seeing the world through a hand lens; no matter how beautiful what you are looking at is, it is limited to the quality of the lens through which you are viewing it.
We live in a digital world where the young can easily get carried away by social media and its influencers that they forget about what is so important. While it is good to look at these social media influencers and get inspired by them, it is pertinent to note that a lot of what these influencers put out there is not real. There are a lot of stage plays going on, and they are excellently crafted and intelligently executed in such a way that to an untrained mind, that is how to live.
This erroneous template has not only affected the mindset of a lot of people; it has also derailed them off the path of progress and genuine success. Because you want to be like your on-screen icon, you would go to any and every length, violating your conscience and ethical boundaries to look like what you see.
This has landed many youths in drug addictions, unhealthy practices, and social vices. All this could have been solved if the youth realized that success is a journey and not a destination and took deliberate steps towards genuine, long-lasting success.
They need to learn time management; time is one thing that, when lost, you can never get it back. Instead of whiling away doing what is not profitable to their future, they need to focus on achieving purpose.

Spot on. Countless people, young and old, are swayed by influencers' charm. Wake up and stop living in delusion. Many of these content are not displaying the true reality, but rather are expertly created and executed to entice people to spend and, worse, to make them feel inadequate/weak/worthless/not enough.

And that's sadly what a lot of people are doing
