This reminded me of my teen years. Ah! The pain was unbearable and no one could make us understand what was happening in body and mind. Good write-up.

Riiight! Holy cow! A lot of people don't understand! Empathy goes a long way. I have days where i'm on top of the world then the next i refuse to get out of bed curled up in a ball. I'm thankful to have a man who has empathy and understanding. But I know a lot of realationships where this isn't the case. Also coming from America atleast the jobs i had calling in to class or work for menstrating wasn't an option here in my Swedish classes in Sweden I told my teachers I was not well from menstrating and they told me to stay home and rest! What a difference that made to my mental health knowing I was safe to relax and take care of myself!
In my part of the world, it's still a taboo and we don't talk about it much, not inside our family. Good for you that you can freely talk about yourself and people are considerate. Yes, it makes a lot of difference.
