It's amazing how a lot of us can say that they have a very similar story to your first couple of paragraphs, and I would never believe that it's such a "typical" pattern... Father alcoholic, and the mother trying to create a bubble for the children, which is impossible to do it... Children suffer and when they are in the most need of parents, they aren't there for them... I really hope that we will (and don't) not continue in our parent's steps... We know what we shouldn't do, that's a start... Not a good one, but still, it's a start...
But, the rest of your story looks like a nightmare, probably like a dream that you had when you finally got your sleep... I don't know the rest of the story (waiting to read it in the future), but I do like your profile description, which tells a lot!!!
Wish you all the best!
aaaaah man, not that I'm pleased you can relate, but in a way, our relatable experiences is what holds us together. My "Mommy's Mental Health" series started out as a sort of catharsis, or self-therapy, like journaling. I started sharing them here and soon after realised that there were SO MANY people out there with very similar experiences, and what better place to share and develop friendships than here on hive, in these beautiful communities we have created. I did post a summary of my mental health posts: I try to do one at every 5th post. You can check out the last summary with links here:
