A DIY project to save my trouser!

I burnt my trouser while ironing them. What an irony! hehe.

Yes, I forgot to set the heat level to silk. But don't worry, I found a way to save it.

There were some spare laces in my drawer and I thought why don't I add them to my trouser. And I proceed to do this DIY.

To let you know, I'm not very good at needle & yarn. So I was worried if I could make it or ruin it more. But I think I have done a pretty neat job.

Here's the trouser. I burnt the lower portion of it, a little bit but it was visible.

The laces that I had. Not too large to cover up the whole thing. So I decided to cut them into pieces to fit.

This is how I cut them, I used small scissors. Got to notice the lower portion of the lace has a different pattern, so I decided to make two layers of laces. And I think it was a clever idea.

The sewing was quite hard for me. It took almost an hour to complete the project. Oh, my shoulder was hurting! But finally, it was done.

After finishing it, I iron it again to flat down the laces. Nope, this time I adjusted the heat level. 😅

I've already used the trouser two times after sewing and it looks good.

What do you think?

🤩 😍 🤩 Very cute way to save your pants. And very creative the way you were able to utilize other items to transform what could of been a pair of ruined pants in to a pair of pants that can pass for bran new!

Yeah, I love the fact that I didn't have to throw it away. Thanks for your appreciation.

If you had told me I would have thought you bought it as I see it
Nicely done :D

hehe...great to hear that :)

Wow you've done a great job, it's really looks so good, your sense of creativity by adding the lace material, enhance the beauty of the trouser.

🤔 should I intentionally burn my trouser or wait it does before trying this out.🤣🤣

Hahaha... Maybe it will not well fit in men's clothing. But you can try it.
And thanks a million for your appreciation 😁😁

You're really creative. It turned out really nice. Perfectly good as new. I love it. I think I'll borrow your idea incase I burn my clothes too.

Hehe, no need to burn just add some laces or beads to enhance the look.
