One day our school announced about the incoming Miss Eco-Feminism 2023, and I didn't expect that our subject teachers would call me because they said they had something to say, so I went to there office and they said that I will be the one to represent our grade level, but I didn't agree because that time I was insecure but they still push me to join so I have no choice because I don't want to disappoint them.
So me and my adviser assigned a designer of what I'm going to wear since my outfit needs to be recyclables. So here I am while practicing I still helping my designer to do my outfits especially the gown.
And the day has come! It was a coronation day! So here I am in the backstage taking a picture of myself I'm really tired that time because of the practice and nervous because it has many people watching and I'm the first candidate that they will see.
This is my outfit in production number, it made with all papers we use not used modules and paper, many people say that I just look like a living barbie doll. And it's not obvious that I was so nervous that time!
Then this is my second outfit, made by plastic we use yellow plastic to make that kind of outfit. Also that time is the awarding of special awards, and I didn't expect that I will receive the Miss Photogenic Award, because I thought it was another candidate.
The last outfit was the gown made by indigenous and recyclable materials, as I observe when I walk and show my gown a lot of people shocked because it's very giving, especially the judges as I look at them they really amazed. And in the gown competition this is the time they will choose a top 5 to join the question and answer portion. The exciting part is I thought I will never be called but I was the last that filled the top 5 and I'm so happy for that.
Then I answered the question very well, and I didn't expect that I will get the title of Miss Eco-Feminism 2023, my friends and teachers was shocked and so happy especially me. This is our photo with my teachers, co-candidates and designers.
Anyways these two teachers, that's Miss Jopia and Miss Pogoy they are the one who fully supports me during the preparation, practice, materials for my outfit, make up and at the coronation. I really appreciate them a lot because they are two of the people that motivates and cheer me up. They are one of the reason why I need to win the show.
Winning the title of Miss Eco-Feminism 2023 has been an incredible journey. It all started with my love for the environment and my desire to empower women. Though I was initially unsure and insecure about joining, the encouragement from my teachers and friends pushed me to take part. Through teamwork and hard work, I created outfits made from recycled materials and was able to showcase my passion on stage. Winning the title and receiving recognition like Miss Photogenic was beyond my expectations. This experience has taught me the importance of confidence, perseverance, and the power of supporting causes that matter to me.
