Find your ikigai.

Find your ikigai.

Hello friends of this great community; In this publication I am going to talk a little more about the reason for living, there is a Japanese word called ikigai which means reason for being a person with purpose, it is one who has a goal in his life, who intends to achieve something that is clear about his project and your life intention.

A person without purpose would be someone who does things randomly and does not find much meaning in what they do, in fact, when we find meaning in what we do and manage to make our daily activities a purpose, an intention, not a objective, this means that we have a much higher quality of life, much more satisfaction and we feel much happier in our daily lives.

Logical, but here there are many twenty-something years old trying to discover why we were born and without doing anything else, without acting, and that is what I see as something very negative in people, today there are people who say " Oh, I'm unemployed, I don't want to start working on anything without first knowing my purpose”, “I haven't started any university degree”, “I'm not studying yet because I haven't discovered my purpose.

First, you need to discover your purpose, so let me tell you that many times the purpose is found along the way while you seek to be useful and be excellent at what you do, stay with that because you are learning a little more about what you love, about what you do. Well, about what can become a profession for which you get paid and here I am giving you a little preview about what ikigai is.

Ikigai is a philosophy of life, on an island in the south of Japan they usually say that people live an average of 100 years, which is why it is a place so known for being healthy and is also attributed to a high level of purpose and happiness so they say that when we find our ikigai our reason for being we can have a life with much more happiness, much more purpose, so ikigai brings together four things and you can write them down.

"Do what you love to do, what the world needs, what you are paid to do, what you are good at", this philosophy says that if you can find these four points then you have found your Ikigai, if you find what you love to do, If you find what you are good at, but you can't make money with it and it is not what the world needs, you have simply found a passion or a hobby.

If you love doing something, if that's something the world needs, but you're not good at it and you can't make a living at it, then we're talking about a mission; If it's something the world needs and it's something you don't love, and it's something you're good at and get paid for, it's just your profession.

And I have always heard people say, “I'm not good at anything”, that's what most people think, I myself even thought that I wasn't good at anything, because I compared myself to the rest of the people who had great skills in relation. to sports, in relation to oratory, that is, we compare ourselves with people who have these mega skills and we say “Ah, well, I'm not good at anything”, well that is not true because most of the skills are can develop, well you become with practice, with training, with the study.

Many times when you develop a skill you can become even better than the person who was simply born with that talent, the liberator of America Simón Bolívar said, “God grants victory to perseverance”, then surely you are good at something, even if it is something small from day to day and you have lived twenty-something years having an experience, it can help other people who perhaps do not have the experience that you have had.

It is time to start experiencing new things, new activities, choose skills that you think would not be so difficult and seek to train them and seek to develop them, for example, today I think I communicate better than before, but I was not born with stability, I developed in that sense. and communication ended up being part of my reason for being, and I share that on this platform, so find your Ikigai and show it to the world.
