Being broke simply means not financially bouyant
or when you don't have money. Many reasons can cause this like lack of job, too much bills and others. Overtime people call their relative or friends asking for financial assistance because they are simply "broke" if not , no one will be a begger.
Why do I say this is a blessing?
Being broke has brought out the best version of me. It was because i don't want to beg or dependent on anyone that I become who I am today. I remembered in 2020, during the lockdown there was nothing for my family to feed on. This period I learnt how to make Zobo drink online and I started selling Zobo. I will take my goods to church every Sunday and from there I got a major contract to make zobo drink for over 500 people.
After, the lockdown I went back to school and couldn't continue because there was no means of icing it. I didn't bother at first because I was getting fund from my mom. She was sick for a while and I got "broke again" . I thought of what I could do again to meet up with my needs then I learnt how to make popcorn online without popcorn machine and that was how I started selling milky popcorn. It really helped me to meet my daily needs. The two major benefit of being broke is that it will trigger the need to find something doing and also increase your knowledge base.
Although nobody is willing to be broke because being broke can lead to overthinking, depression, sickness, diseases and loss of life. In another aspect, being broke can increase crime rate, killings and kidnapping. It actually depends on the way we handle it for it to be a blessing or a curse.Being Broke can be prevented in many ways like getting a job, having multiple sources of income, savings and investment. I'm a salary earner and most times when I collect my salary I finish it within ten days and I have to fall back to my side hustles: Delivery service, Data vending and blogging on Hive. In May this year, I wanted to buy a laptop and I had #130,000 with me. On getting to the market I was told the price has increased, there was no money left to balance the man. I had to withdraw from my Hive wallet and that was how I was able to pay for the laptop. Being Broke brought out the ability of multitasking in me because I was a one way person that believe in puting all efforts in one basket before. No one wants to be broke but being broke is the reason for many initiatives today.
