You’ve been through quite the journey with Caleb’s care, and your adaptability and attention to detail shine through in how you’ve handled everything @lhes! It’s clear you’re putting so much thought into every decision to make sure he’s comfortable and thriving—no easy task, especially with sensitive skin and dietary changes in the mix.

The way you transitioned his formula so carefully, monitoring his reactions and consulting his pediatrician, shows how dedicated and resourceful you are. And you’re absolutely right—every penny saved counts when you’re balancing so many needs for your little one. Finding that balance between cost, quality, and Caleb’s health is an achievement in itself!

As for the soap, sensitive skin can indeed be tricky to manage, but it’s great that you caught the connection and switched back to what worked before. Babies seem to have their own little ways of keeping us on our toes, don’t they? Hopefully, as he grows older, his skin will toughen up a bit, and you’ll have more options to choose from without worry.

Your resilience and sense of humor are heartwarming, especially when you mention using the strong-scented soap for his bum. It’s a reminder that even in the whirlwind of motherhood, finding moments to laugh makes all the difference.

How are you feeling about everything now? Do you feel more at ease about the adjustments you’ve made for Caleb? You’re doing an amazing job, truly, @lhes. 💙

Seeing him again in the emergency room back when he was a newborn is something I no longer wanted to happen. That is the reason why I was so careful in taking care of him as him getting sick gives me so much anxiety. It was so hard to bear for a first time Mom.

I was thankful my sister in-law is working at the hospital and I had an easy access with one of the best pediatrician there 😁.

Thinking, perhaps Caleb got his sensitive skin from me, my genes as we have history in G6PD. One of my nephew and sister was diagnosed.

I am fine now, it was more easier though tiring as infant was indeed so energetic.

Thank you so much for the response @silversaver888 , I appreciate it. Actually this community as I go through the journey of motherhood.
