Me ha gustado mucho la base de este concurso, ya que eso fue una noticia que conmovió a muchos en el mundo, incluyéndome a mí.
Estoy orgullosamente complacida de ser mujer, ya que, entre otras cosas, somos muy fuertes y capaces.
Nací y viví muchos años en Cuba, donde formé mi carácter y quien soy hoy. En nuestra sociedad la mujer tiene criterio, es oída y valorada.
Noticias como estas me indignan, estoy en contra del abuso hacia la mujer, en ese punto si lo quieren decir soy feminista y no me gusta ni tolero el desprecio hacia la mujer.
Mantengo las relaciones sociales y afectivas basadas en el respeto y espero que así sea para mí también. No creo que pudiera vivir en una sociedad que no me respete por ser mujer. En mi caso que adoro pintar lo que veo, creo que me inundaría la tristeza por el maltrato no pudiera hacer ni una línea en una hoja, para mi quitarme mis derechos es como ver el mundo gris sin colores.
Yo creo que pudiera apoyar a esas mujeres que no tienen para dónde ir, que son mujeres que para mí le han quitado su voz. Pondría la mía muy gustosamente a su servicio, divulgaría que hechos como este no deben ocurrir en este mundo lleno de modernidades, pondría mi arte al servicio de esta causa, alistaría mi lápiz para unirme a esta protesta. Pintaría todo lo que me encuentre en el camino para que el que no quiera escuchar y se tape los oídos, al menos vea por doquier representaciones de arte a favor de los derechos femeninos, apoyando a mujeres que le han privado sus derechos.
I do not think I could live in a society that does not respect me for being a woman. In my case, since I love to paint what I see, I believe that I would be flooded with sadness because of the mistreatment if I could not draw even one line on a sheet of paper, for me to take away my rights is like seeing a gray world without colors.
I believe that I could support those women who have nowhere to go, who are women who for me have been deprived of their voice. I would gladly put mine at their service, I would spread the word that events like this should not happen in this world full of modernity, I would put my art at the service of this cause, I would enlist my pencil to join this protest. I would paint everything I find along the way so that those who do not want to listen and cover their ears, at least see everywhere art representations in favor of women's rights, supporting women who have been deprived of their rights.
