An avid dreamer, hence, a die-hard dream chaser, look how fast-paced my dreams turned into my reality.
This year was the most memorable; the highlight started when I turned 22.
Twenty-two signifies the year that I spent living in this reality.
Years of being able to grip life and see its beauty, even if it sometimes gives me uncertainty. Not only beauty, but it also taught me a new level of maturity- to embrace my flaws and not let anyone discredit me for the thing I worked hard for.
Earning another year at my age, I understand how my experiences developed me into a fine lady. A lady that does not only present herself as what others picture her to be but too becomes a unique one that serves her purpose and impact society.
The next highlight is earning my degree.
As a Filipino woman born and raised in a culture that values education, I worked hard to be someone deserving of the spot. My journey as a student took me almost 18 years of my total age, and in those years, I've met people who taught me the real essence of education.
For us living in a third-world country, education is a privilege. An opportunity, a blessing, and realizing the prestige of learning things at school opened my eyes to the fact that we are indeed blessed to be given this chance to pursue the dream we aspired to become.
Lastly, earning RN next to my name is the most excellent highlight of 2022.
The feeling is surreal, and I still can't believe how far this dream has turned into my reality. I know it is not an easy take- I cried a lot, suffered stress, slept less, and even traveled far away from home to pursue my study. Indeed a rollercoaster ride.
2022, aside from the accomplishments, I've also suffered the loss. Loss of a loved one- one of those forces that motivated me to pursue nursing, not even realizing it would be a bumpy road ahead of me. 2022 taught me not to focus on my past mistakes. It taught me to go on- embrace what was laid in front of me for my future endeavor.
There were highlights that I will always be proud of; there were downsides I wanted to keep myself and will not want to talk to many people. This year has taught me to become the girl still since I started dreaming and carrying on as a woman with those unnamed circumstances that broke part of my being to become the better version of myself.
I will continue to grow, and these achievements and lessons will open new opportunities.
If 2022 feels like forever for some, heavy or dreadful. 2022 will be passed by, and another year will come. It will be your year too soon; don't lose hope.
Thank 2022 for the experiences, suffering, and learnings. 2022 will bless you to start a great year in the coming months.

Amazing of you, good to know you were able to achieve your dreams of education. It a great achievement having spent all the years.
Well loosing a loved one is something I got to understand when I lost my younger sister I couldn't believe my eyes.
