GOG and Game Ownership! 🎮🕹️

Most Digital Game Stores sell you a license for the games you buy. These licenses can be taken away from you, and they might even expire depending on the game.

GOG is different. It sells you the games' offline installers! #hivegc #gaming #steam

I also like how GOG has been like this from the start. I've been buying more and more games on their service through the years. Feels a lot better even if you might sometimes pay a bit more and their catalog isn't as extensive as Steam.

The thing is, it'll never be as extensive as Steam. A lot of publishers want DRM in their games, and while that's fair. The fact GOG doesn't have DRM is what makes it an amazing store.

Then all the more power to the publishers who put their games on GOG.
