It seems that they just keep spawning & spamming though I’m not sure if someone is supporting them via upvotes. Otherwise it’s not clear what is their motivation to waste time & energy to do so. 😩

Well they won't get any rewards or reputation. In fact, with negative reputation, they'll be muted from most front ends.
Oh, yeah. I know. However, when I referred to solving the problem I meant banning these profiles from the ecosystem.
It’s the “Yang” of decentralization. I guess downvoting is the best we can do at this point to discourage the ones making these moves.

I've added them to list so I can downvote. I hope others with stake in this chain will do the same, it's in everybody's best interest.

How are you finding them? Do they use certain tags? Or you just browse through the Newest feed?
I was just browsing through the Leo Finance community on PeakD and stumbled upon a bunch of posts that seemed fishy, so I did a plagiarism check.
In this case, the community has to act on this as one person won’t be enough. I’ll spare some time to check as well. Thanks for the info.
