The other is a change to engage with someone and exchange thoughts, ideas and/emotions.

Engagement is the reason why people use social media. Unless, of course, if the user is a complete narcissist.
Hmm I dont 100% support that statement. I use X regulary but rarely, close to never make any comments. I just want to get the latest news from trusted sources.
Its like when people say "no one wants to speak to a bot" but then millions are using llm like chatgpt or grok everyday
