I lived in Hawaii for 20+ year and there a Jawaiian, Roots-Rock-Reggae community there and elements of the song reminded me a lot of the local music. Thematically at least if not exactly stylistically (if that makes sense). "Kaldera" made me immediately think of caldera. When we lived on the Big Island and it would get to hot at sea-level we'd toss the dogs in the car and drive up to Volcano National Park - in about 45 minutes we could could go from 90 to 50 degrees.
