The company I work at is changing shipping carrier.
The new shipping carrier does not support special characters, so basically a Japanese can't order and receive the order with the new carrier 😂

wouldn't a translation program or an exception of language line of code be useful
It would, the problem is our customers are other webshops, so we would need all 400+ webshops to do this.
