That's a pretty noob question, but I'm curious because I think that when the winter where you live is really harsh, all those lakes could freeze over, right?

I don't know if I would risk skating on a lake like that, because it looks deep.

You need a pretty hard freeze (many days below freezing) to ice over a pond even of this small size. We can get down to 0°-12° F at night but usually get above freezing during the day. Most you might get is some ice around the edges.

I would never go out on the ice. lol

I see, that's really cool to know. In fact, to get to this point, it would have to be very cold for many days.

The cold season in my region will start in May, of course it won't reach the same temperatures as there, but it will ease the scorching heat here hahaha...

Our really hot days are still a few months away. :)

I prefer the cold a thousand times over. I think you wouldn't like the heat here in Brazil where I live very much, my friend. LOL

You're heat is probably more humid, right?

We get 90-100 degree F but it is very dry. I prefer about 75 to 80 tops, dry. :)

Where I live, it's dry and extremely hot from September on, reaching 104°F 😥. However, Brazil is vast, and there are places in the south where the cold is more intense.
