San Francisco winters are mild ... you can get the hint of winter in the paleness of the blue sky ... lots of high clouds there ... we were between storms when I got that walk in
Winter on Corfu is also very mild, that's why I wanted to stay here a few months.
In Berlin you have a lot of rain, no sun and lousy wheather and no snow.
In the south of Germany, where I come from, we had snow but in the last years also not very often.
I have always heard that winters in Germany are not for the faint of heart. Many German tourists come here in the winter for the same reason ... this is the time of year I get to practice my conversational German most often!

Most likely not! I can again read German somewhat, but high school and college were a long time ago. Before Covid I was nearly 20 years out of practice. Since Covid I have had time to practice and study again, but I need to just pay the Goethe Institute and get back in class...
