They are old Splinterlands bots that lost any usecases in the game over time. Somebody has tens of thousands of these.
If that person behind used them in a small scale, they could actually generate some rewards. If the chain is flooded with such fake posts, people get cautios and start hunting them down.

That's some good information, though I never would've guessed it's the old SPL bots going wild with the spam, I hope the rewards it reaps in are nothing compared to the server costs to run these bots
I guess there's no server costs, it's just a script that copy pastes old content. You only need a laptop with posting keys and user names, plus that script. Within a single hour, you could likely post like 10,000 times, using just that laptop with almost zero running costs.
It could get a bit tricky if you were to take the profits out.
Ahh, I'm not too technical with things like this, didn't realise it could be done so easily that's very worrying for the potential harm it could cause in terms of just sheer spam around every community and corner of hive 🤔
