I think each person holds one end, makes a wish, and the one who ends up with the bigger piece will have their wish granted. I think that’s it...
Yes that is correct. We do this anytime we eat a turkey - Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Not anymore, I remember doing that with my mom when I was a kid.

It's a turkey wishbone. Two people pull on either side of the bone and whoever gets the bigger side when it breaks gets to make a wish. It's a North American tradition when you eat a turkey
