They were and the outer layers were super tasty. But without the skin of a chicken thigh I didn't get the intended crispiness, so I'll probably try again when I get the right stuff XD

You're right, without the skin, it doesn't have the crunch you want.
I believe that next time it will be even more delicious when you make it.
