I’m curious, does a high-specs node will result to a higher chance of producing blocks or it requires a bit of luck to be able to produce more?
Thanks... I have yet to miss a block, but I have heard of that happening due to low PC specs or poor network latency. Not sure what the minimum requirement is to successfully mine a block.
But getting the chance to mine a block is on rotation.. its something like the top 20 do 3/4 of all transactions. But 1/4 is done by all the other witnesses. And getting the block while happens more often the higher your rank is as a witness.
So a witness that is rank 50 will get a block way more often than someone that is rank 100.
I remember reading a comment that said the Top 40 level would still be profitable.
Given your activity on the platform and your credibility, I’m confident you'll rank higher in time.
It all depends on the cost of expenses.

I actually don't have an idea about mining blocks on the Hive Blockchain. What's it all about? Please can you direct me to an article?
Though I have a list of witnesses I vote for but I don't really know how everything works.
Basically I'm producing blocks as people do stuff on Hive.. but mining on Hive is different than Bitcoin mining for example. It's much less resource intensive, but it requires people with stake to vote your witness in.
This post looks like it explains it pretty good.
