Going to start my sweet potato patch soon. Every year we harvest we save some to grow the follow year. So no need to buy new starter spuds every year.

noice... I've tried to get those to grow here and failed. But I've done well with yuca!

Oh cool.. How did they fail? I always got a harvest with them.. just sometimes less than others.

We have these ants here in the farm. They are practically members of the avengers. They will eat a whole tree if you slather something sweet on it. Hence our failures.

I don't to start spraying poison on the ground, so I'm just attempting to find out what works and what doesn't.

Oh damn ants must be a nightmare to deal with. Sometimes ants here will farm aphids on plants.. or eat the strawberries I grow. But they have yet to attack my sweet potatoes.

Hope you can find a solution.. If you have not tried it, look into DE (Diatomaceous earth).

oh nice... i'll look that up

Huge ones.

Hah I got bigger ones for eating actually.

I heard those orange ones are better bec they got betacarotene?

Not sure.. I have only had this kind as far as I know.. they are really sweet when cooked though. I know that.

that is very sustainable not having to buy new starter puds that is how we also do it

You're doing such a good work on this.

Congrats.

thanks a lot

I honestly thought those were carrots. Good luck with the planting.
