There hasn't been a single Alpha pack sold on Hive Engine in over 4 months. Not sure if there is an easy way to see on Splinterlands.

Alpha's are great for land.. they give more production points than others.
You could buy a bunch of land and put them to work to generate SPS.
Alpha's have a production cap which limits how effective they are for land I hear. In game play, I hear they are not great at all, which leaves them mostly for land, but I don't think they are worth the premium due to the production cap, making them less valuable
Honestly it feels like the teams moving further away from older packs having good solid value and instead focusing more on always having to have the new.
I think Alphas have been nerfed a few times, and are mostly suited for lands now, but I believe their effectiveness has been capped.
Yep, lands where the real perk is at but being that lands been on the backburner forever now and SPS rewards are drying up it's going to be interesting to see if the value can be worth it in some other way. Not going to be easy for the team to pull that off.
