I seriously hope that this situation can get solved by more transperency. I doubt it tbh and I can see a dark future for Hive if this hard development freeze will persist for longer time. The proposal system is not perfect and so are the projects but we need to go forward

Sort:

Here is the challenge ... we cannot go forward well with an unaccounted rate of a million a year ... serious investors will run away. Blocktrades used to run an exchange, so he knows how the other half lives.

So: what everyone will have to do is to be as convincing as Ecency in order to be funded. ESSENTIALLY, every single Hiver counts now -- can't get past Blocktrades without broad support. Why does Ecency have that kind of support? Perhaps it should be studied...

Ecency can not be the guideline for every proposal bc not everyone is coding a frontend (fortunately) or has a long tradition and amazingly active community. This is an exception. The current situation will hurt Hive big time and you are happy with it as it seems

Because my mind has already gone to "how to move forward," do not assume too much. 62M is the bar that must be cleared. There is ONE model available. I do not assume that projects cannot clear that since there were others in the high 50s -- one of those may be a better model.

Now, other people can unvote the Return Proposal, and that would bring the bar down -- it is already moving a bit. Other than that, if anyone assumes they can't work the new situation, they're right. I happen to think that most of Hive's projects, some of which are close, can.
