Thank you for the suggestions! I've just finished Roadside Picnic, I know this is the book that inspired the Metro series but I found it a little confusing with the world building, great book none the less! McCarthy's Road is fantastic also, one of my favourites without a doubt

I'll check out the British movie thread also thank you! Definitely always up for new suggestions, gets quite difficult to source similar genres when you're pushed with the more mainstream stuff constantly

2/ mind unironic religious themes in your post-apo books. Also, the British movie Threads is an absolute must but you need a strong stomach to watch it — some scenes are really graphic and shocking.
