Hey! Just a note to say I'm not dead!
Oh boy, we've been having some adventures lately. I've not been writing, but I have picked up my pen and notepad (laptop) and started revisiting some older projects.
Today is a blustery kind of day and I had a late start of it. I lay in bed too long, doomscrolling, and was kinda late getting to the horses (not that they minded, they weren't over-enthusiastic to get out of their shelters and into the wind-swept fields). The horses had hay left and were impatient for their breakfast.
After taking them across the road, into their field, I fed the wild birds - not quite such an easy task as it sounds, I had to mix the feed first and then battle the elements to refill the feeders.
Then I came indoors and started organising the story I wrote 7 years ago on the 'other place'. I think it still 'has legs' and I can do something with it.
Watching the wind whip around the trees outside, I got distracted and that led me to Hive.Blog, so here I am (again), making another sporadic post about still being an inhabitant of this marvellous planet.
We'll be travelling to England in the next week, I've been invited to a book launch and I'm really excited to meet the Author of The Boutique, Dee Blick.
After the book launch, we're travelling up-country to celebrate @s0u1's mum's 100th birthday.
Catching up with friends and family, we'll then head home to start getting the house ready for visitors over Easter and the summer season.
It looks like being another fabulous year here and if I'm really lucky, I'll give my head a good wobble and get back to writing - not just stories, but more blogs about our new life here.
I have so much to tell you...

people think that giving food to birds is easy, but many times because of the intensity of the wind, you end up full of bird food yourself.
Haha! That's just about what happened today! I had the bird feeders blowing about, chickens around my feet and balancing the bucket of feed made the effort challenging!
