Chronosia is a beautiful landscape in the heart of Spring Haven. The water that flows from the valley about the highlands gives a refreshing breeze to the community. The lilies and the sunflowers on the plains blossom more beautifully at the set of the morning sun. The sweet fragrance of dandelions saturates the whole scenery and evokes peace to the soul, mind and body. In the whole of Spring Haven, beauty is such a prominent feature and quite spellbinding. In Chronosia, nature rules humanity and man is subject to the dictates of nature and its principles. The customs of nature will always be passed down from generation to generation and many years, man has enjoyed nature's blessings.
Rivera is known as Nature's castle - It is surrounded by a river that never stops running and at the centre is a very green pasture, that forms the shape of a heart. This pasture is so green that at noon, one is advised to stay far from Nature's castle because the pasture reflects such sparkling green that could almost blind a person. At the centre of the evergreen pasture is a fluffy puffy cloud with a silver lining that radiates so magically, looking like heaven on earth. Then at night, it's always a beautiful and engrossing moment to watch the river around Rivera bring forth diamonds with a glittering luster, float on the water. It is always a moment of calm as families mount their tents and watch the running river glistening so lovely. Myth has it that this place is the resting place of the moon. In all these, nature's principle does not permit anyone to exceed the two cedar trees which stand tall a few metres away from Nature's castle.
In this part of the world, nature provides for the people; nature gives food, woods to cook, wild honey, cotton fabrics, silk from the silk worms and to mention but a few. All man had to do was to be subject to nature and enjoy nature's blessings. Time continued to evolve and years went on and on. Lucena is a man, well known for embarking on adventures throughout the Spring Haven and beyond. He hails from Whimsyville, the city that precedes Chronosia in the Spring Haven. This time of the year, he decided to embark on a very far trip - an unknown destination. He departs, watches the lifestyle of other people and deems it fit that Spring Haven should follow suit. He so much admired the way others engage in commercial activities and loved the fact that these communities were stratified - there were the rich and as well the poor. He returns to Spring Haven and shares his encounter with the inhabitants of Whimsyville, Chronosia, Damilyon and other surrounding communities of Spring Haven. Lucena only emphasises that they'll be wealthy and excludes the fact that poor people will exist.
People across the Haven became hungry for commercial activities and this news began to spread farther and farther. Nature rules the land so there are no human powers to step into the situation. One thing is known to the people and that is the fact that only Nature must provide for you. The people's greed makes them agitate for more when everything they want is on a platter of gold.
This becomes a new beginning in Spring Haven; Lucena gathers a great crowd and tells them that everything to make them rich is within their reach. All that had to be done was get from nature and sell it and fetch greater resources in exchange. The people are so intrigued by this but a lady, Maya, disagrees in the crowd and says, " we're all aware that Nature's principle says what is for the inhabitants is for the inhabitants only. How can we disobey nature after all nature has done for us". Maya was booed by the crowd but she still stood her ground. Lucena discouraged the people from paying attention to Maya and telling them that at morrow, they should get ready to sell the woods in the community. The following day, the people of Haven get their axes and working tools and begin to cut down trees and gather them for selling. They sold these to another community in exchange of mirrors.
They felt so fulfilled because it was their first time of seeing their faces clearly, unlike the river that didn't give them a clear view. Maya was disappointed in the people and travelled to a far town, far from Spring Haven because she knew that Nature's principle is - He that disobeys nature, nature curses. The people felt confident in their disobedience because they hadn't seen any punishment for their deed and concluded that Nature's principles are mere myths.
These people did even worse things all in the name of wealth. Gradually, Spring Haven began to look like a deserted place; less or no trees in some areas. The started to feel the intensity of the sun and said it was no punishment from nature, justifying their actions and believing the trees are no more there to give shades and that's all. So, they never stopped disobeying nature. There were more and more sales of wild honey, cotton, silkworms, fruits, roses and lots more. Spring Haven became so dreadful because of man's greed and quest for wealth. It began to look like a place without life, no more butterflies, doves, or sparrows - they'd all gone because of the appalling look of the Haven and as such hawks and crows now spread the terrain.
The peak of their atrocity was when Lucena went at night to Nature's castle and exceeded the two cedar trees and stole the floating diamonds on the river. Before he could exit, he realised that the cedar trees now appears farther than it used to be. So, he starts running with all his might and to his greatest surprise, the more he runs, the farther the cedar appears and so he is terrified and keeps running fearfully. At this point, nature lost its patience and it was time for them to face the music of their actions. The silver lining of the Rivera cloud faded and the cloud disappeared. The moon departed from sky of the Havens. Everyone knew it was the beginning of woe. Lucena kept running and at some point could not sight the trees anymore and while running, he turns his back and he sees great darkness emanating from Rivera and it kept spinning till it swallowed him.
At the plains, people began to run helter-skelter because there was no moon and they remembered nature's principle that says - departure of the moon is the beginning of nature's woe. This darkness kept spinning from afar and the earth began to shake terribly. A whirlwind accompanied this gross approaching darkness which came after all inhabitants. After a sharp deafening sound of boom! - Everything and everyone disappeared and the whole Spring Haven was covered with great darkness.
And till this day, the Spring Haven is dreadfully filled with darkness in that one will never believe it was once a place of estacy. Nothing goes into this great darkness and finds its way out. The sun, moon or stars haven't come close this place since then. Four miles away from this place, all you will see is darkness like a large cloud hovering around intensely. This was the end of Spring Haven because from the day man chose greed, Nature's curse was effected.
