God have mercy

Those of you that have been following my Endless Monsoon Series from last week would know what I am talking about.

the image above is the forecast for the coming week and the pattern is by now becoming way too familiar.
it has been very similar for the last about 3 weeks and we are all weary thin with all that rain and its consequences on our daily lives.

on a more positive note, we have had a beautiful Friday, free of rain, then Saturday, nearly as nice and today, Sunday that was nice enough to allow us to do our monthly market, outdoors, almost rain free.
it has been drizzling for a few minutes, but apart from that the weather behaved.
when the sun came out from among the clouds, standing in it was highly appreciatively pleasant.

I met and talked to a newly arrived Shaun from Canada, who just bought a house in the village where we do our market. he must have fallen out of bed early and was out there before even most of us sellers did.
seems like a nice guy, had a nice chat.

the market itself was rather slow but surprisingly, had some sales and not only covered my market expenses (6 Eggs, Falafel wrap, a piece of chocolate fudge..), but also made some extra money. pretty pleased.
next market is in two weeks and I will have to try to produce more plant stock to sell as I am running low.

at least got some decent charge for the batteries 🔋so what is worse ? having #Ecency down on a Saturday afternoon when you are trying to publish a post or having another week or so of rain ahead..?

thank you for stopping by 🙏
wishing us all a peaceful week and a dry one at that.
