That dreaded phone call, cheetah been caught in a snare.. some light packing and I was ready to hit the road... He's broken loose and not sure if he is injured or not or if the snare unraveled ..20mim later the vehicle loaded and we were off we will pick up ranger on route..
Making use of the parks fence line to get as close to his last known location some 14km north of base..
13km of walking we found him and managed to get a few shots of him and could confirm he was feeding, there was no damage to the animal .. 34 snares where removed in the area after having caught one of the guys who had been setting them.. all in all so worth the trip..
