FOODlog #1332: Beef Brisket Noodle Soup

Used half of a brisket a few days ago for a barbecue dinner and this is the other half of the brisket that I used to make - Braised Beef Noodles! 🥩🍜🥢

Its an express version making the whole thing in a pressure cooker and it turned out so delicious and satisfying!

The beef brisket is marinated with soy sauce then vacuum packed overnight. It then goes into the pressure cooker to cook, together with onions, a whole bulb of garlic, a spice pack and spicy fermented bean paste (doubanjiang).

I also added in mushrooms to the pressure cooker and once everything is cooked, I removed the brisket to cool before slicing it.

Served it with a wider cut flour noodles and topped the noodle bowl with a Hardboiled egg and freshly chopped spring onions for garnish.

One of my ultimate comfort food as I grow older are noodles, especially soupy ones. I do love dry noodles as well but noodles with a delicious warm broth just hits differently. 🍜
