A couple of weeks ago, one of my customers contacted me.
Customer: "Hi Pete, can you give me a price for broadband on this property, please?"

This is basically a three-walled building in the middle of nowhere.
Me: "I'll need a proper address, not just the postcode, specifically a building number."
I could bore you with the ten or twelve emails back and forth where I pleaded with them for a proper address "There must be an address? Ask the vendor. Is there facilities in the building, water or a toilet? There must be a utility bill with the the full address on?", all to no avail. Fortunately, after a couple of days, the customer gave up [in] and said they would come back to me. I did suggest Mobile Broadband which they said they'd already thought about.
A few days later, we get a phone call from one of their other sites.
Caller: "Hi, it's Dave here. We're at the site in Worcester. We've broken our router. Can you send a replacement?"
I asked one of my engineers to get a full address from them.
Engineer: "Hi Pete, they've given me an address that they said they had stuff sent to in the past."
Me: "Brilliant! Finally, an actual address. What is it?"
Engineer: "Here you go, I've written it down."
Me: "Brilliant! I'll get the router shipped direct."
Engineer: "Umm? There's just one problem."
Me: [In a worried voice] "what is it?"
Engineer: "They say the building was demolished about two years ago."
Arrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh
