Every year at about a certain time. I find myself laying in bed wondering what's different about that particular morning.
It usually takes a few minutes, but then I realize it's the sound of the birds chirping outside.
I never seem to notice them leave for the winter. I just go about my routine unaware of they're gradual disappearance.
If they never came back. I wonder how much time would pass before I noticed.
I supposed that having grown up in New England, I've adjusted to their routine.
I can't help but reflect on a few of my favorite restaurants that aren't around any more.
It's so easy to get lost in my routine. Completely forgetting about the places and people I intended to visit.
