You're in the Final Stretch! Go! Go! Go!
Hi, Dreemers! Can you believe it? We're already entering the final stretch of this month's collaboration! Yes, it's week 3...the final week of our "DOUBLING DOWN" challenge!
You've come a long way, so keep it going! You've completed our marathon of last month and you have formed some great connections! You started building some amazing relationships and you are building on those foundations that you have laid. And all of this is becoming visible in the double challenge of this month!
Together, we all become stronger. Together we learn that not every post is a hit. Not every week is a great week. That is just a fact of life. One week we are on cloud 9 and we get those amazing upvotes. We think we have made it and we are on our way to great achievements! Our excitement levels are at an all-time high!!
Until the next week...
We hardly get any results and we earn pennies...
The bubble pops, and we start thinking about how realistic our expectations were. What happened? What did we do wrong? Why couldn't I get the same results as last week? Was last week just a "lucky shot"? Am I wasting my time and energy?
NO, NO, NO!!!
This is where you start learning about (and experiencing) the importance of those relationships and connections! We start supporting each other and start receiving support (and encouragement) from others. We help each other to stay in touch with reality. We learn and we remind each other that NOT EVERY POST IS A HIT! Success is measured over time! Success is a journey! Success is not limited to one post, one week...or even one month! One post, one week, one month...only become a part of statistics over a long period of time and things WILL start to even out...OVER TIME!!
Don't get stuck by checking your results every 5 minutes after you published a post before you start working on the next. Yes, remain active by checking for comments and then start engaging with people who are leaving comments on your post. But don't get stuck in looking at those awesome upvotes or the absence thereof.
You published your post. Now it's live and you start engaging. Let the results look after themselves. You have no control over that. Focus on activities that you do have control over.
While you are busy engaging, start working on your next post. Start researching, start writing... whatever you can do depending on what stage you are in for the next post, but start working on that.
Then, after a month, after 3 months, after one year, you can look back and check your statistics. See what performed well for you and what didn't. What should you focus on and where can you improve? With the support of your connections, this process becomes easier and more doable. You receive the encouragement and support to persevere and not give up. You get input from your connections to help you improve and grow! This is the treasure that you get the opportunity to build here in the safe environment of #Dreemport!

You only need to take the prompt and start writing whatever comes to mind for 5 minutes. If you're on a roll, you can continue, but you only need that 5 minutes of free writing to be able to submit your post for the challenge!

This post can be written whenever you want to write it, but be sure to submit it to DreemPort on THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, by 5 pm PACIFIC.
And remember, same as in the first challenge (due on Tuesday), if you have a partner for this month be sure to name your partner on your post, and feel free to share the link for their post too!

REMEMBER!! If you post as an individual, you earn the normal amount of DREEM. But, if you have a partner, and they post too, BOTH of you will earn double!

To become successful we can't just be doing the "nice" things or whenever we feel like it.
I recently listened to an interview with a well-known author here in South Africa... He also got asked about what he does when he is lacking inspiration... What does he do to get inspired and what does he do if it doesn't come?
His answer was that he starts his day like anybody else...inspiration or no inspiration. He just start working by writing. He then made a statement that I loved. He said, "It's not about inspiration, but it's about perspiration". It's awesome when the inspiration comes, but we can't sit around waiting for it.
As a matter of fact, I personally believe that inspiration normally doesn't come...until we start working!

Yes, we never know which posts will be a hit or not. I had the experience where I sometimes expect a post to do well and I would be excited when I publish it...and then I hardly get any response to it. Yet, the next time I would publish a post and don't really expect much of it, and then I get blown away with the results and the engagement on that post!
I guess it's best to just keep on working and let the results take care of themselves. Just as long as we know we are doing our best!
