  1. When writing a post on Ecency you can set the payout to include beneficiaries. This is great if you’d like to run a competition, for instance, and you’d like to benefit various other users, such as judges, by giving them part of the post’s earnings. To use the tool, click the cog icon on the top left when writing a post and select “beneficiaries”.
  2. When writing a post of particular interest to the Hive community, on Ecency, there’s an option to promote the post. This is an excellent way to broadcast a post and get it seen. Particularly fabulous for competitions, which need to be seen. Find the tool by clicking the arrow on the Ecency points wallet.
  3. Ecency gives you the option to get free points every day. Spin to win points on Ecency by clicking the “get points” button.

YaY, Ecency rocks

Three fun facts? Well, I am not sure whether these are fun, but three useful facts that I don't think are well known are:

  1. You can move your swap.hive back to hive on https://beeswap.dcity.io for only 0.25% compared to 1% elsewhere. Very useful.

  2. You can lease a hive delegation on https://hive.dlease.io/. Similarly, you can lease out your delegation (or HP) at this site.

  3. Hive has a classifieds section where you can buy and sell things with crypto. I have not used it yet, but it seems like a very cool idea! It is https://hivelist.io/.

Bonus: You can find out about the 152 Hive projects currently happening at https://hiveprojects.io/

Excellent information! @harlowjourney

Find 3 fun facts about Hive and related Dapps which many doesn't know!

When Hive was created (hardforked from the Steem blockchain), the existing users received the same amount of Hive and Hive Dollars what they had in their Steem wallet, basicallly doubling the amount they have. This may sound surprising to many new users.

Splinterlands was initially Steem Monsters on the Steem blockchain at the beginning. Most of the cards was worth just/only a few cents at the beginning, and at first, it felt very hard to earn back the initial investment, but the patient players/investors earned hundreds or even thousands of dollars over the years, and they continue to earn. With a good enough deck, I see the possibility of making a living with Splinterlands in the future, but I am currently very far from it.

Splinterlands cards are NFTs, so this game is one of the first NFT games, and it started much before NFTs became popular.

Thanks for this info. I didn't know that Hive came from the hardforked of steem. I l learned something today.

It happened after Justin Sun's hostile takeover of the Steem blockchain. You can read a summary about the events on Crypto Briefing: Steem Successfully Forks Creating “Hive” Blockchain.

Merry Christmas.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

  1. Decentralized application like hive has a features of Play-to-earn, whereby you earn from your expertise.

  2. Hive has more than 70 different token, which make it different from other decentralized application like libry, publishox.

  3. Most of communities on hive has different way of helping newbies, for instance ecency provide means of point on your daily activities which can converted to whatever you want it for.

Thanks for the initiative. My 3 things of hive not many may know:

  1. There is a Hive faucet:

https://giftgiver.site/faucet

  1. Peakd.com analytics can show how many views you have in any of your posts! You have to sign in and under profile drop down menu select “tools”.

  2. Curious to know your overall ranking on Hive ecosystem whether it’s reputation, hp, total hive, total hbd, and many other stats to rank go here:

Oh I didn't know the first one. I just tried it but when I click on submit it doesn't work...

3 Unknown Facts

Something amazing happened, and I think many people don't know.

See for yourself on my blog. DEC was the moon.
https://www.splintertalk.io/@gynfreaks/dec-went-to-the-moon-and-back

It was very strange, but I believe it was a Coinmarketcap error

My Youtube Channel was called Animotion Alchemist and I inserted Splinterlands because of the game's keywords. I believe that searches will soon go viral with my content here in Brazil.

One of Splinterlands Buldogg's biggest Youtubers was doing Star Wars-related gameplay before starting with Blockchain games. Just explore your older content.

My blog is about Splinterlands, but as I'm doing now I write for other communities and I got 2 packs of Chaos Legion as a reward, I hope to grow in this Hive community more and more.

A great day everyone, I hope this is the intention, because I believe I'm a beginner and I don't have much to teach here. I hope to learn more and then pass on something more valuable.

  1. You can actually write a post for someone through the hive keychains in peakd to post in someone username instead of yours.

  2. You can also claim other rewards in your hive-engine, which you can definitely convert to hive.

  3. You can boost your post with points using the ecency app when your point is up to 150, click on any of your post you want it to be upvoted then press boost ecency will upvote the post.

Oh nice! Didn't know there's such a thing. Haha. Let's see... 3 fun facts about Hive & dApps.

  1. You can write short meaningful posts like in Twitter via d.Buzz! Better to earn Hive than just post to Twitter and get nothing right? Haha. The best part is you can even put a title too. 😉
  2. There's a Hive Stats site you can go to and check some of your account details.
    https://hivestats.io/
  3. There is a fork from Hive called Blurt. And if you have a Hive account when the fork happened, you already have a Blurt.blog account!

1st: everyone knows how the hive works, but no one does understand how ))
2nd: the main secret of a successful post: buzz while you're writing it
3rd: you would never be able to memorize your privat passwords

Hi what does it mean "buzz while writing a post"?

just buzzzzzzzz like a honey bee

🤣🧡

1 ° Ecency: it is a Dapp through which we can publish and we will not be able to see the publication in our blog unless we place a tag or place the publication in the respective community.

2 ° Splinterlands: it is a game where there are powerful rare monsters apart from having their own tokens, they are collectibles.

3rd Leofinance: for me the best Dapp where publications on financial topics related to #Hive are shared and where if we publish regularly we get the #Leo token.

Oh thanks so much for the win :) Really love this initiative!

Congratulations!

1 one of the greatest fun actions here is @mineopoly 's funny yellow bird game every second monday, I never met so many nice people in such a short time

2 for all who love to read / curate good postings and on same time wish to have more eyes on their good meaningful content, there exists @dreemport with an external website wich might be interesting to look at

3 I do not often see people use the LUV Token. If you hold some in your wallet, you can use the command LUV in your answer to postings and comments you really love, wich gives the person you were giving your answer one LUV token for free (I think holding 10 LUV you can give 1 per day / up to 150 LUV 4 per day, hope this numbers are right)
To show you how it works and because I love Ecency:

I Love ECENCY!!

Love this idea of Christmas Advent Calendar 👍🏻🎉🎉 Wow, I won one of the challenges. Thanks @ecency 🙏🏻🙏🏻

My 3 fun facts:

  1. knowing each other in HIVE: I share my life through posting in HIVE, and learn more about friends through reading their sharing in HIVE

  2. to participate the community activities together, such as writing the weekly topic designated in CN district

  3. boost up posts by using Ecency points for promoting myself as a brand.

I participated and wrote what I really feel. If luck smiles on me so much the better and if not I am proud to join this ambicious community. Good luck and happy holidays to all.
💖💖💖🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🎅

  1. There are many ways of earn on hive and Dapps other then blogging, commenting, and curating.
  2. Using the right tags in relation to your posts gets your post in front of many eyes in many communities.
  3. There are several Dapps like Ecency that you can view the same posts and your account information from hive.
  4. Many of the communities & frontends show you your wallet for that community, such as #CTP, #LEO, #PALNET, #NEOXIAN, #ARCHON just to name a few. When you go to these communities just click on wallet and you can see how much you hold of their token.
