Over last 2 weeks, we have pushed 2 more new updates to Ecency mobile app making it faster and better with recent Hardfork of the network. Many pages got performance boosts and are free from different bugs.
In this post we will talk about some of these changes.
What's new
- Feed refresh improved - some Android devices struggled on startup to load feed and required Pull down to refresh action unnecessarily, so we fixed that.
- Timeout increase on node connections - nodes have had issues after recent hardfork and we noticed a lot of timeouts, improved connection to help minimize such instances.
- Fix editor options menu title - small cosmetic fixes on title.
- Fix for loading more posts issue - infinite post loading is crucial for a lot of people to be able to check posts in their community and feed, having small bug there was causing issues, we addressed that in this release.
- Fix for api failover and threshold increase - node connection failover threshold is increased to help unstable mobile connection to retry.
- Posts cards improvements - some design improvements
- Turkish and Indonesian languages order fix - thanks to our awesome detail oriented users, language order was mixed up, we have corrected it.
- Error screen improvements - error screen has bit more appealing view.
- Fix vote registering issue - vote registering wasn't working as expected after hardfork, fixed that as well.
- Fix communities page crash - in some instances communities page was crashing, we have improved that pages.
- Fix commenting and posting issue - new editor format handling and fixes
- Profile page improvements - profile page was also improved with better performance tweaks.
- Fix pointing and wallet pages transaction history - transaction history now using new api endpoint.
- Replies fix - profile page replies tab was not loading always due to some bug, now fixed.
- Reputation fix - when user reputation comes in converted format, previously we had to convert to readable format.
- Update to all Languages
- AppStore and PlayStore listing screens updated

Cool. And what's with the web app? I have many times blank page and need to refresh the page again to see the content. Also, comments - there's only one comment count not all :)
Comment count is know issue with all servers, there is some update blocktrades team working on, hopefully will be fixed soon. As for content, we just pushed new update as you are using, this update should handle empty content issue, just give it couple seconds and it will load the page. We are working on better solution until then.

...and then we get a list of updates. Ooh! Don't mind me, it's just me and my cleverness. 🤭
Why it is bothering you? We can add description of each fix if that's what you mean... Mobile app users will quickly know what these issues were because they encounter it a lot in older versions.
I'm sorry if I bothered the team with my comment, but scrolling down the blog post, I felt like some points are missing in a given instruction. It seems like I expected a good conversation with that statement and was given itineraries instead. Also, I think giving those missing points would be of better help if a newbie would take interest in reading such posts.
But don't take it seriously, if the team sees fit that they're doing what is necessary, then who am I to judge. As a user of Ecency, I think giving feedbacks is what I can do to contribute to its development. Also, I hope that there would be more coming features that will revolutionize the usual way of blogging since it's a social media blogging platform after all.
I have not emerged myself in the meaning of blogging and how it's done before and outside the blockchain, but I somehow want to see and achieve what people who believe in its potential saw in the community.
