How you can refer friends on Ecency?
In this post we will talk about some benefits and how you can invite new friends to the Hive and Ecency. Our signup and referral system is very simple, anyone can quickly join and start experiencing new social network.
How it works
Referral system is quite simple. You can earn extra while inviting friends as well.
Get your friends to register with Ecency through your unique referral link.
Once they've created an account, they'll need to earn over 250 Points using Ecency, referral who invited them will claim 100 Points.
Earning Points with Ecency is very intuitive and fun experience. Just by using app and performing various activities you earn Points instantly.
There are no limit on how many friends you can invite or how much Points you can earn from referrals.
Your referral code is your username. When inviting friend ask them to register with your username in referral field or give them direct link.

You username should be set as Referral when registering.
yes username. I think, I have two friends who use my username as referral, but I never get notification or promises point.. I can't remember I got it..
After new joined person earns their first 250 Ecency points you will receive 100 points as reward.

We are not saying it is not working. Your post is in promoted posts list, as far as we can tell. Promotions are randomly chosen and displayed, so your post is in promoted list, it will get more views.

Hi there, @good-karma and @ecency just wondering if you can help me out with this situation, I noticed the votes on this post that I was given do not add up correctly as with the payout amount how can I have this corrected ?
Just the votes alone from @ranchorelaxo and @trafalgar add up more then the payout amount listed at the bottom of the post which at the moment shows $33.82

The app seems to consume a lot of RAM on iOS, I am waiting for performance improvements before inviting some friends

@ecency, you can create 1 area in the "Settings" to keep the referral link like below example.
Many Dapps do it and it does work. Users don't need to go back this article to find the format of referral link anymore.

What is the timeframe for a new accounts to get approval? Last night I was helping my GFsign up using the ecency app and couldn't get it to go through. I then went to the website and tried there and it seemed to go through but we still haven't seen the confirmation email. I used jschindler for the referral and the u/n was emanate-artworx with the same @g mail. TIA
Emails should arrive within few minutes. Did you check spam folder maybe it went here?

my friends had the same problem with signing up or registering for free
It always says they already created an account and 1 account per IP even if it's their first time to sign up.
Are you using mobile network or public wifi? Also you cannot use same email address twice.
They are using a mobile network. Some are using home wifi. I tried creating accounts for them using the computer at my workplace but I still have the same problem.

Interesting, we will check. Also make sure you are not using proxy, tor or vpn because those connections usually abused and our signup doesn't allow those.
We are sure that we are not using that proxy or VPN. I hope you can fix this problem soon since I am excited to share with them about decency or Hive community
I see, we will have to check why their IP address is not passing our checks. Maybe our checks are not considering something, is there any chance you can find out IP address when error happens and send it via email to us [email protected], we can investigate and fix/improve the system.
