I believe I know one or two things about social anxiety, since i have had experience with it. It builds up over time the more a person is unwilling to face and socialise more often. Most people suffering from social anxiety tends to identify themselves as introverts but sometimes they fail to realise it is just a cover to keep them intact in their comfort zone.
Though social anxiety might not seem hazardous until it starts influencing your public speaking abilities and you get nervous whenever you are trying to communicate with a group of people, for some people it get to an extent whereby they isolate themselves from others because they don't feel among or they feel they are not wanted.
Social media does not help because it only make it worse. Social media does not promote physical interpersonal communication and as you know anyone with social anxiety prefers intrapersonal communication because it doesn't involve anyone but themselves which is similar to what social media stands for, communicating with others without being seen.
I believe you should try to go out more often and try to engage in public discussions, it will help your progress.

Thanks for popping in. 🙂
There are actually some who are willing and struggling to socialise, but the mind and body aren't in unison.
Anxiety is not a pleasant experience to say. The cold chills, difficulty breathing and quickened pulses, I'd rather avoid them if need be.
Positive progress is a necessity and things are a lot different from who I was. I now go out less often 😌 and stay away from meetings and public discussions 🥱. Change is not easy 😂
Yeah, social media is a mess and not a go-to for relating with people. Nothing beats physical interactions. I should take your advice into consideration.
Thanks, fellow dreemer...
