I haven't done the math for your 50, but I know for sure that you will earn more passive Hive, each day than you would earn if you were using it to upvote consistently. Also you will earn in addition 5.2 Ecency points each day passively for 52 HP delegated.
Oh yeah, it's still your HP so you will see it always in your account until you power it down. But you can go into it now and see who you have delegated to
