Siempre he sentido una fascinación por el horror, aunque fue después de leer el libro "La Atracción del Horror" de Alfonso de la Torre que realmente comprendí esta atracción. Este libro explora la fascinación que sentía Manuel Millares hacia el horror en la sociedad humana.
Motivado por esta comprensión, he decidido embarcarme en un proyecto artístico centrado en la atracción que siento hacia el "horror". Este proyecto consistirá en la creación de 20 grabados utilizando diversas técnicas. A través de estas obras, pretendo explorar los rincones más oscuros de la existencia humana y capturar la esencia perturbadora del horror en sus diferentes manifestaciones.
Cada grabado será una ventana hacia mi propia percepción del horror, transmitiendo emociones intensas y generando una reflexión profunda en aquellos que los contemplen. A través de este proyecto, espero provocar una respuesta visceral y una conexión emocional con el espectador, invitándolo a explorar sus propios temores y enfrentarse a la realidad oscura que existe en el mundo.
Es mi deseo que estos grabados sean un medio para amplificar la comprensión y el diálogo sobre la atracción del horror, abriendo puertas hacia una exploración más profunda de nuestra naturaleza humana y las fuerzas que nos impulsan hacia lo siniestro. A través de mi arte, espero desafiar y confrontar las convenciones establecidas, invitando a los demás a reflexionar sobre el lado oscuro que habita en todos nosotros.

For some, the attraction of horror is a creative catalyst that allows them to find inspiration in the unknown and the unsettling, while for others it can be a way to confront and understand their own fears and anxieties.
It is important to keep in mind that the attraction of horror does not necessarily imply an affinity for violence or real suffering, but rather an intellectual or emotional fascination with the dark side of existence. It is a way of exploring the limits of the human, challenging conventions and expressing ideas that may be uncomfortable or disturbing to some, but arouse deep interest in others.

Through my art, I hope to challenge and confront established conventions, inviting others to reflect on the dark side that dwells within us all.
