RE: Day 11 - Advent Calendar 2023, Win prize everyday! 🎄🎁

in Ecencylast year

I have always wondered what snow feels like. How it tastes, how it smells like. It looks like a lot of fun when I watch children in the movies play in the snow, have snow fights and build snowmen. Here,in Tamale,a town in the northern region of Ghana where I live,we get absolutely no snow. Unlike in other parts of the world where there are four seasons, here in Ghana,we have two: the dry season and the rainy season. Currently,it is the dry season. In my part of the country,we are ambushed by the harsh harmattan winds during this time of the year. We experience chilly mornings as the zephyrs of the harmattan blow and make the weather crisp and foggy. During the day,the sun scorches at temperatures over 35°C,making it difficult to stay hydrated. Nonetheless, we the townspeople are used to this weather. We have found our own ways to remedy the chapped lips and feet that are prevalent during this time. Tamale is a lively town, bustling with activity and cheerfulness. The people are hospitable and very chatty. It is a great place to stay and it is dubbed the fastest growing city in West Africa.
